Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

Quick Cell Repair is a repair shop at 3908 Hastings St, Burnaby, BC V5C 2L4, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the shop, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated:

1. Who we are

Quick Cell Repair (“we”, “us”) is the organization responsible for your personal information. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Our privacy contact is reachable at support@quickcellrepairs.ca or +1 604-213-9933.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you book a repair or send a message we collect your name, phone number, and e-mail address (optional on some forms), the device, brand, model and problem you describe, your preferred date and time, and anything you write in the message. We also receive the page you were on when you sent it.

Information from your visit. Our website records which pages are viewed, how long a visit lasts, the page that referred you, the type of browser and device, and a country or city if our hosting provides it. We do not store your IP address. A random code is saved in your browser so we can tell a returning visit from a new one; it contains no personal details.

In the shop. When you leave a device with us we note your contact details and a description of the repair so we can reach you and honour any warranty.

3. How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, confirm and carry out your booking, quote and repair, and contact you about it.
  • To provide warranty service and keep the records the law requires of a business.
  • To understand which pages and services are useful, and to fix problems with the website.
  • To protect the website and our forms from spam and abuse.

4. We do not sell your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We will only send you promotional e-mail or text messages if you have agreed to receive them (Canada's anti-spam law, CASL), and every such message will show you how to unsubscribe. Replies to your own booking or enquiry are not marketing.

5. Who sees your information

Only the service providers we need to run the website and the shop, and only for that purpose:

  • E-mail and hosting. Booking and contact messages are e-mailed to our business mailbox, and the website and its database are hosted on our web host's servers, which may be outside British Columbia or Canada.
  • Google Maps and reviews. The map on our contact page is loaded from Google, and our Google reviews come from Google's public data. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address when the map loads.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights or safety.

6. Cookies and similar storage

Our own analytics keeps a random visitor code in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time. A sign-in cookie is used only for our staff who manage the website. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for other companies.

7. Your device and its data

To repair a device we may need to turn it on and test it, which can expose the data stored on it. We only access what is needed for the repair and we do not copy, keep or share your files, messages or photos. Please back up your device and remove sensitive accounts before you bring it in, and tell us if we must unlock it, because repairs can occasionally lead to data loss.

8. How long we keep it

We keep booking and contact messages as long as we need them to handle your request, provide warranty service and meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete or anonymize them. Website visit records are kept for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

9. Keeping it safe

Our forms are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, limited to the staff who need them, and protected against spam and abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us passwords or payment card numbers by e-mail or through the forms.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw a consent you gave us. Write to support@quickcellrepairs.ca; we will reply within the time the law allows. You can also clear your browser's stored data at any time.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC.

11. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them online. A parent or guardian should make bookings for a child's device.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date above. For terms about using our repair services and website, see our Terms of Service.
